ReSTOR® Lens Implants for Cataract Surgery
The ReSTOR multifocal lens implant ( IOL ) is available for our patients in Bonita Springs, Naples and Fort Myers, Florida. Following a thorough cataract surgery evaluation with Dr. Pascucci, this advanced lens implant may be chosen to replace your eye’s clouded lens during cataract surgery. ReSTOR can also be used to treat presbyopia, or difficulty focusing up close due to aging eyes.
ReSTOR is a multifocal lens implant option manufactured by AcrySof®. You may choose this implant option to replace your eye’s cloudy lens during cataract eye surgery with Dr. Pascucci. Some patients choose ReSTOR to help treat presbyopia, trouble focusing up close due to a hardening and lack of flexibility in the eye’s natural lens.
The ReSTOR implant employs technology similar to that used in microscopes and telescopes to improve image quality. Twelve tiny concentric circles work together to focus light for both near and distance vision. The result is a broader range of vision—near, far and at a distance—after cataract surgery.
Our Florida cataract patients who choose the ReSTOR lens gain a fuller, broader range of vision following cataract surgery. ReSTOR patients are able to hold reading materials at a more comfortable distance, and see improved clarity of vision at near and mid-range with minimal need for glasses.
Here at Eye Consultants of Bonita Springs, we track and monitor our outcomes very closely, and our cataract results are no different. Following cataract eye surgery, our patients report and quantify their outcomes in the Lens Satisfaction Survey, reporting the amount of time they need to use glasses for certain tasks, if any.
Dr. Pascucci performs a detailed and thorough Lens Evaluation prior to cataract surgery. After collecting measurements and considering your unique lifestyle and hobbies, Dr. Pascucci will discuss your lens implant options during that appointment.
